DELIGHTFUL & RARE REGENCY CUT-WORK PICTURE
A really delightful cut-work picture made during C1830. During the late 18/19C accomplished ladies used to make these exquisite cutwork pictures.
The most well known being Mrs Delaney's beautiful cutwork floral pictures. The pictures required a high level of skill particularly when you look at the tree in our picture.
The picture shows a group of people probably on the way to the village fair , there is a man playing a fiddle, children playing, a monkey riding a dog, a muzzled bear and dancing dogs.
