UNUSUAL WOODEN INKWELL CIRCA 1890
A very unusual small inkwell in a rather Gothic looking outer case. which has metal studs to the lid. Small metal wire handles to the sides.
Lid opens to reveal ceramic inkwell with gilded rim.
The inkwell measures 2.25" (6 cms) wide x 2.5" (6.5 cms) high.
The inkwell probably dates to the Arts and Crafts era and dates to the late 19th century.
The condition is good for its age, there is a small stress crack at the back going down from the hinge.
